Most underwear modeling work is for catalogs. You might also get called in for a website or (rarely) a commercial. You will have to be very comfortable with your body as well as being semi-nude around everyone there. It will get easier as time goes on and you get more photo shoots under your belt. Because many models shy away from any type of nude modeling, underwear modeling might just be the thing for you to get into easily.

As with any type of modeling, you will find the most success with a modeling agency that has connections to businesses that use underwear models. You will want to make a comp card and portfolio that are centered around the theme that you would love to show off your body and the newest lingerie.

You will still need many of the traditional portfolio trappings for this - but you can also have a lot of fun. Focus on your nether regions, do some shoots in provocative poses in your favorite lingerie. Show the world that you are sassy or demure, sweet or sultry - and distill that attitude into everything that you do photo wise. Don’t try to be someone else. Do what you want, express yourself in the way that best fits you and your body. That way you can be truly happy.

Underwear modeling is hard work. Show up early, stay late, get fussed over by make up designers and hair stylists. Then when you get to the shoot you have all the bright lights, people, and backgrounds to deal with. This is on top of trying to remember what poses look the best for you.

Take a deep breath and relax. If you are truly committed to becoming an underwear model (or any type for that matter) you will need to get used to all this. Don’t get stressed out over your dream - people pursue their loves to leave the stress of every day behind.
