Just because it’s long distance, doesn’t mean you can’t do those little romantic things to brighten up your partner’s day. Actually, you should be doing as many romantic acts as possible, just to take their mind off the distance.

If you are drawing a blank for ways to show that you care, here’s a few ideas to start you off:

1. Make fun and spicy videos with your web cam!

2. Call and order flowers to be sent to their work or home. Sure it’s a bit cliché but it’s still sweet.

3. Send a voice mail telling your partner how much you love them (and maybe all the things you want to do to them when you see them).

4. Make a care package with some of their favorite candy, music, and other small gifts. Send it out and cheer up their day.

5. Write your feelings out in poetry or haiku. The power of the written word cannot be denied, and getting to the heart of your feelings in this form will have a melting effect.

6. Send them a slide show or power point of some of your pictures. Whether its of you together, or maybe just the sights around you that you had fun at, remind them of the good times.

7. Blog it - Blogs are popular nowadays, so why not make a personal blog that you can both post to during the day to let you know what’s going on with each other. This works particularly well if you can’t use IM at work.

8. Record your voices and use the wave files for your IM. Most computers have built in voice recording software, so just record yourself saying phrases like I love you and Good Night. Then, you can use those .wav files in your IM program for when they log on, send a message, log off, and any number of other events.

9. Make a book of little quotes and inside jokes shared between you, capturing how deep your relationship is.

10. Just take the time out to spend time with each other. Sure, you might not be right there, but have some fun playing online games, or visiting weird sites, and just doing something different than the normal routine. An e-date, if you will.
